Real Sociedad centre-back Igor Zubeldia was ambitious on Thursday, saying that the game against Real Madrid is "the best opportunity to get a win" at home despite his side's inconsistent start to the season.
The 27-year-old admitted during a press conference that it has been "a strange start of the season", although he did not want to look for excuses, and added that now that the members of the first team squad are going to "start training together, the team will go up".
Real have undergone a big change this summer, with important departures and numerous arrivals, such as that of centre-back Nayef Aguerd, about whom Zubeldia said that it is "positive" that another centre-back is coming" in as it gives "a plus in terms of competitiveness".
The defender admitted that he is not as fit as he would like to be, given that he has not been able to train in pre-season as he would have liked due to injury: "I hope now, with these two weeks, to get up to speed," he commented.
