Arsenal had few problems in beating Luton at the Emirates Stadium on matchday 31 of the Premier League, despite the Gunners' squad suffering many changes to their starting eleven as Arteta rested several key players.
One of them is Ukrainian left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, who made his first start since early February when he had to be substituted with a calf injury against Liverpool.
The 27-year-old spoke after the match and assured that the team is ready and confident to face the battle for the title. “Was it a psychologically important result at City on Sunday? Yes, definitely. It’s not easy to play against City away and also Liverpool away. It shows that Arsenal are ready to fight for it (Premier League title).”
The Ukrainian player also spoke about the depth of the squad, as did Arteta and how difficult it is to earn a place in the team. “It is good for all of us and the team as well that we have good competition in each position. All of us need to fight and work hard to deserve this opportunity to play every single time,” Zinchenko said.
