Zaniolo misses another EURO due to injury

Italy's Nicolo Zaniolo will not be selected by Luciano Spaletti for the upcoming European Championship in Germany. The Aston Villa player will miss this tournament again, as he did in 2021, in this case, it was due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

Zaniolo was injured in the 78th minute of the match between the 'Villains' and Liverpool at Villa Park. According to 'Corriere dello Sport', the Italian has a microfracture in his foot that will keep him out of action for about a month.

The European competition starts on 14 June, with Italy's debut just one day later. The deadlines are too tight to think that Zaniolo can make it onto a list that may well include 26 names.
