Chelsea stormed into the League Cup final with a 6-1 thrashing of second-tier Middlesbrough to easily overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
The Blues put in a perfect first half performance to turn the tie around after scoring four goals in the first 45 minutes. Much of the danger created by Chelsea's attack came from the flanks. Full-backs Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi were a headache for Boro's defence.
Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino, who told a post-match press conference after the game that he is eager to win silverware with the Stamford Bridge outfit, praised the performance of his full-backs and the key role they played in booking a place in the EFL Cup final.
