VIDEO: Marcos Alonso extends his Barca contract for another year

Marcos Alonso renewed his contract with Barcelona until the 2024 season with an option to extend it for a further year. The defender spoke about his feelings after the renewal: "I want to keep winning," he said.

"Barcelona and Marcos Alonso have reached an agreement for the player to extend his contract until 30 June 2024. The buyout clause has been set at 50 million euros", the Catalan team announced in a club statement.

Xavi's side are top of La Liga on 44 points while Real Madrid are in second place on 41 points, just three points away from overtaking Barcelona in the standings.
