A magnificent performance from Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer secured Borussia Monchengladbach a 1-1 home draw with champions Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga opener.

Borussia Monchengladbach hosted Bayern Munich in a Bundesliga clash last Friday.

Alessane Plea gave Gladbach the lead with 10 minutes on the clock and then Robert Lewandowski equalised three minutes before the interval. There were no more goals in the second half thanks to some brilliant saves by Gladbach keeper Yann Sommer. Take a look at the highlights from the fixture in the video above!

Bayern Munich are at home to Cologne on Sunday in their next one while Gladbach travel to Leverkusen on Saturday.
