Brighton and Chelsea faced off on Saturday night in the Premier League Summer Series, treating fans to a seven-goal epic in Philidelphia.

Brighton's Danny Welbeck opened the scoring in the 13th minute, firing a goal into the roof of the net from a Mitoma header into the box. Chelsea bounced back quickly though, with new signing Christopher Nkunku scoring his second goal for the Blues just six minutes later.

Chelsea came out in the second half and dominated, with Muydryk finally getting his first goal for the Blues since signing in January 2023. He was assisted by another new arrival, Nicolas Jackson, who also got an assist on Connor Gallagher's goal, and then made it four himself in the 76th minute.

Joao Pedro got one back 10 minutes from full time, after he was brought down in the box and converted from the spot. The Seagulls fought til the end, and added another touch of drama, scoring their third just a minute from time, but Chelsea held out for the win.
