Reds' comeback sinks Yellow Submarine
Second-half goals from Fabinho, Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane sent Liverpool to the Champions League final after they had trailed 2-0 at the break in Spain.
Liverpool recovered from 2-0 down to win at Villarreal in their UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg and progress 5-2 on aggregate, reaching a third final in five years.
Jürgen Klopp's men were uncommonly flustered in possession and Villarreal exploited their nervousness again four minutes before the interval to level the tie. Capoue was again the creator, turning adroitly on the byline before clipping a cross to the back post, where the towering Francis Coquelin escaped the attention of Trent Alexander-Arnold to glance in.

Rodrygo and Benzema pull off remarkable comeback
Trailing Manchester City 5-3 on aggregate with 90 minutes on the clock, Real Madrid went on to complete a remarkable comeback in extra time and reach their 18th European Cup final.
So often backed into a corner in this season's UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid will play Liverpool in the final after escaping from their tightest spot of all to beat Manchester City 3-1 on the night and 6-5 on aggregate.
City were so tactically smart in keeping Madrid at arm's length for so much of this game, denying them even a single shot on target for 89 minutes. So when Riyad Mahrez's first-time effort beat Courtois at his near post, it looked to be not only the seal on a devastating counterattack, but the rubber-stamp on a classic away performance and the decisive goal in the tie.

Replay of the Kiev final
Salah said after eliminating Villarreal that he wanted Madrid. These statements are related to what happened in 2018, when, in Kiev, the Egyptian played only 30 minutes of the Champions League final against Madrid when he was injured and Lallana had to come in for him.
On that occasion, 'Los Blancos' lifted their 13th trophy, the last one won, for now, and Salah could only 'avenge' himself the following year by lifting his first Champions League trophy. This time he can complete his plan if he takes away 'Los Blancos' dream of adding another Champions League to their trophy cabinet.
