The first game of the Champions 22-23 won by Inter Escaldes

Inter Escaldes (Andorra) defeated La Fiorita (San Marino) 2-1 in the first match of the Champions League 2022-23, in the preliminary round semifinal, played at a stadium in Iceland.  

Argentine Danilo Rinaldi opened the scoring for the San Marino team at the end of the first half, while Spaniard Genis Soldevila Solduga turned it around in minutes for the Andorran team.

Throughout his career, Genis wore the jerseys of Belaguer, Sportivo Mahones, Lleida Esportiu, Olimpic Xativa, Asco, Atletic Escaldes and now Inter Escaldes. And without a doubt, he will be remembered as the first to score a brace in the Champions League 22-23.

Thus, Inter Escaldes reached the final of the preliminary round, where they will face the winner of Levadia (Estonia) vs. Vikingur Reykjavik (Iceland), who will meet on Tuesday.
