Spanish Super Cup draw 2021

Last season's winners, Real Madrid, will face Athletic Bilbao in the semi-final. Barcelona, on the other hand, will face Real Sociedad.

The two Basque sides are competing due to them reaching the final of the 2020 Copa del Rey. This will be played in April 2021 after it was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Barcelona and Madrid are in the tournament as they came 2nd and 1st in La Liga respectively.

The matches were supposed to be played in Saudi Arabia like the 2020 edition but have been moved to Sevilla, Malaga and Cordoba. The first two matches will be played on 13th and 14th of January, with the final being on 17th.

While Real Madrid won it in 2020, Barcelona won the edition before that. Bilbao haven't won since 2015 while Real Sociedad will be looking to lift the trophy for the first time since 1982.
