Roma and Inter to fight for Vertonghen

Jan Vertonghen's future is all a bit of a mystery. At 32 years old, he has few options to renew his contract at Tottenham and looks like he will move to another club for free in 2020.

The Belgian international is liked a lot in Italy where there are two teams that, according to 'Daily Mail', are fighting for his signing.

At first, Inter Milan seemed the team best positioned to sign him, but Roma aren't giving up on his arrival either.

The Rome outfit would look favourably on signing from the Premier League again after the good performance that Chris Smalling has offered.
