At the moment, football has completely stopped. It is the best for everyone's health.
But the big leagues are now planning to return. Nobody wants them to be cancelled because that would mean clubs would miss out on vital earnings and they are going to be quite affected by the situation.
The Premier League's plan, for example, is to return to action in May. The footballers, however, are apparently not convinced that is the right decision.
Because, according to the 'Daily Mail', it has been revealed that if a footballer gets COVID-19, he would not be insured.
The coronavirus is not considered a "critical illness". That means that if the players' careers are affected after getting coronavirus, they would not be covered.
The footballers have now asked for explanations. And the answer? It would depend on the insurance policy they have. That has made some take out critical infection insurance policy which would cover them if they got a critical illness after getting corona.
The players do not want to play again if they are not given a series of guarantees. The FA are looking for a way to guarantee their safety.
