OFFICIAL: Villarreal sign Dani Parejo

Villarreal have confirmed that Parejo has signed for them. It is a great signing for Unai Emery's men and they have got a top player in Parejo for free. 

Parejo terminated his contract at Valencia and that made it easier for Villarreal to sign him. He had his medical at the club this Wednesday. 

Villarreal have signed two players from Valencia in the last few hours. Coquelin was the other man and he went for around eight million euros. He was the club's second signing of the summer after getting Take Kubo on a loan deal from Real Madrid. 

Parejo has signed a three year contract at Villarreal plus the option of another season. He will be reunited with Unai Emery and he will get to play in the Europa League.

Two quality reinforcements for a Villarreal side who could not keep Cazorla or Anguissa. They went to Qatar and Fulham respectively. Both had an excellent season and now the two former Valencia men will try and replace the whole left in the Villarreal mdified. 

The signing of Parejo is a major coup for Villarreal. Parejo has been a fundamental player for Valencia since he arrived at the Mestalla in the 2011-12 season. He became a starter under Ernesto Valverde and he made 381 appearances. He also scored 65 goals. 

Parejo is a player who has always been under the spotlight by Valencia supporters. but he has always been important, especially when Marcelino was the coach. In the 2018-19 season, he lifted the Copa del Rey against Barcelona.
