Real Madrid are not having good luck with injuries at the start of the season. After Carvajal joined the injury list after suffering three ruptures in his knee that will keep him out for the rest of the season, it is now Militao who has suffered an injury setback.
It was recently reported that the Brazilian national team had detected a minor muscle injury on the centre-back's arrival at the ‘Selecao’ training camp and that the player had therefore returned to Madrid to be assessed by the Spanish club.
A few days later, Real Madrid confirmed in an official statement that the player suffers a "muscle injury to his left quadriceps muscle". Furthermore, ‘Los Blancos’ described his recovery as "pending evolution".
However, according to the Spanish radio programme ‘Tiempo de Juego’, the Brazilian centre-back will be out of action for around 10 days, so he could possibly be available once the international break is over.
