Newcastle willing to give Karius an opportunity

Loris Karius had a shocking 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid. The goalkeeper, who replaced Alisson, and he made two clear errors which led to two goals. His mistakes cost Liverpool the Champions League final against Real Madrid. 

He was singled out and his performances in the few matches afterwards were not good either and so he was loaned out to Besiktas. He played quite a lot for the Turkish club although he conceded a large amount of goals in the two seasons he was there. 

At the start of the summer, Liverpool decided not to renew his contract, so he became a free agent. Since then, he has been waiting for an opportunity which seems to have reached him. 

And the thing is that according to 'Sky Sports', the German goalkeeper is very close to ending up at Newcastle. The Magpies are short of numbers in this department, after the sudden injury to Karl Darlwo. Talks are underway and Eddie Howe's plan is to have him as soon as possible so taht he can compete with Nick Pope.
