Messi returned to Barcelona for first time since rumours of Barca return

Xavi Hernandez and Joan Laporta are insisting on getting Leo Messi back at Barcelona. In recent days, rumours have intensified, even with comments from the president, about his possible return to the Catalan side. 

And at the moment, what has occurred is his return to the city. The Argentine landed on Catalan soil this Sunday, just a few hours after he starred together with Neymar in PSG's 0-5 victory over Clermont. 

Messi was the author of two of his team's five goals, as well as assisting another, but one his goals outshone the rest of the goals scored at the Gabriel Montpied Stadium: the 86th minute overhead kick which completed the thrashing. 

After his great start to the Ligue 1 season, PSG coach Galtier gave the squad a few days off and Messi took advantage to return to the place he considers to be his home. So, he arrived in Barcelona for the first time since rumours began and Laporta said that the club "morally owe him" a return.
