Paris Saint-Germain beat Real Sociedad 2-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie despite a difficult first half in which Imanol Alguacil's men were the better side. Kylian Mbappe acknowledged as much in a post-match interview, in which he praised his coach Luis Enrique for his ability to cause a dressing room reaction at half-time.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe said his side still have work to do to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals despite a 2-0 win over Real Sociedad in the last 16 on Wednesday.

"In the first half, we struggled to get out of the pressure, we should have put more personality into the fact that they were outnumbered in our half, we should have done better. That's part of the team's learning curve," said the striker.

"We started badly, the coach woke us up at half-time and gave us more instructions and we were able to apply them," said Bradley Barcola.
