With the clash between Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund kicking off in less than an hour at the Deutsche Bank Park, the hosts confirmed that Omar Marmoush will not partake in the game.
Frankfurt confirmed that due to ongoing talks over his transfer in the January transfer window, the 25-year-old Egypt international, who is set to join Man City, has been ruled out from Dino Toppmoller's squad for the Bundesliga fixture.
"Eintracht Frankfurt is currently in talks with another club regarding a transfer of Omar Marmoush. Therefore, the player is not part of the squad today," wrote the German club on their official X account - formerly known as Twitter.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Marmoush is set to sign a five-year deal with the English champions after an agreement was reached with Frankfurt for a fee of 80 million euros.
