Marcelo will play his last game at the Bernabeu

The summer transfer window will leave several vacancies at Real Madrid, either due to departures or contracts. Marcelo will finish his contract and as of today he has not renewed his confidence in Real Madrid and vice versa.

Although his departure is still not completely closed and his renewal has not been ruled out, journalist Sergio Quirante was able to learn that Marcelo is aware that this Friday "is his last game at the Santiago Bernabeu."

Indeed, 'Gol TV' reported last Wednesday that the defender's agent, Caio Alves, met with Real Madrid to seek a renewal for another year, as that is the policy that 'Los Blancos' club follows with players of Marcelo's age.

Marcelo wants to stay even though he knows that Mendy will be the undisputed starter next season. Moreover, Carlo Ancelotti has confidence in the Brazilian, as long as he renews for another season.

Marcelo has made 17 appearances this season, starting seven of them, his worst record since his first season at Madrid at the age of 19.

As of today, Marcelo could be facing his last game at the Bernabeu after 16 seasons and 545 games played for the club.
