On 30th June, Marcelo will no longer be a Real Madrid player. The footballer leaves the Bernabeu after a tremendous career. Now it is time for him to start a new adventure, although he is not very sure where he will play next season.
The Brazilian reportedly has offers in Turkey. Valladolid and Getafe also want him. Moving to Getafe would also allow him to stay in Madrid so it is a clear option for the defender. He has plenty of options on the table and nothing decided, at least up to now.
In search of a team, Marcelo was offered to several MLS clubs, or that is what 'AS' says. Among them were Los Angeles FC, the club Gareth Bale has signed for, and Los Angeles Galaxy. According to this source, up to seven clubs received a call in which he had the opportunity to get hold of the experienced defender.
Marcelo was offered to seven clubs and all seven said they did not want Marcelo. That means Marcelo will have to keep on finding a new home. It remains to be seen whether he stays in La Liga or if he decides to try his luck in another competition.
