Ruben Amorim has arrived at Manchester United to try to get the club back to where it deserves to be, after a somewhat inconsistent few seasons under Erik ten Hag. Many fans are excited after seeing the good football played by the Portuguese coach's last team, namely Sporting Lisbon.
The Portuguese league team played with three centre-backs and two wing-backs, so Amorim is expected to implement the same system at the Red Devils. However, according to reports in England, the coach is missing something to be able to play at Old Trafford as he did at the Jose Alvalade.
The Portuguese coach has asked the Mancunian board to sign a left-back either this winter transfer window or next winter, suggesting that the likes of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia do not fit his style of play.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Old Trafford outfit have three names on the table to try to sign, with one of them likely to be Alphonso Davies, who will be a free agent next summer, although the Bayern Munich full-back looks set to join Real Madrid.
