Madrid working on Carvajal's renewal

The Spanish national team began their Euro campaign in the best possible way, with a resounding victory over Croatia. Dani Carvajal played a key role in the victory for Luis de la Fuente's men. The full-back continued a performance that has been flattering all season and could earn him a new contract with Real Madrid.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Florentino Perez's board are planning to start negotiations soon to extend the former Bayer Leverkusen player's stay beyond 30 June 2025, when his current deal expires. There are still two seasons left, but this front will be resolved more quickly than that of Luka Modric.

Carvajal has made the 30s the launch pad for the best seasons of his career. He has explained in several interviews that he owes much of this improvement to his extreme attention to nutrition and physical preparation, which have allowed him to dodge the injuries that have caused him to take a back seat in other seasons.
