Liverpool salvage draw against resilient Nottingham Forest in Premier League thriller

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest in a tense encounter at City Ground on Tuesday night. Chris Wood opened the scoring for Forest early in the first half, continuing his impressive form this season. 

The hosts, who had previously stunned Liverpool with a 1-0 victory at Anfield in September, looked set to complete a remarkable double over the league leaders. Arne Slot's second-half substitutions proved pivotal, with Tsimikas and Jota entering the fray and combining to secure the equaliser for the Reds.

Despite the draw, Liverpool maintain their position at the top of the Premier League, now six points clear of Forest who sit in third place. The result extends Liverpool's unbeaten away record this season, though their vulnerability in recent matches has become apparent

Mixed emotions for both sides, as Liverpool missed an opportunity to extend their lead, while Forest will rue not capitalising on their early advantage.
