Inter forward Marcus Thuram praised his Argentinian teammate Lautaro Martinez, whom he described as "one of the best strikers in the world".
Thuram and Lautaro have formed the most feared attack in Italy. Atletico Madrid now loom on the horizon in the last 16 of the Champions League for both, who are looking to confirm their status as Italy's attacking sensation.
"I've learnt a lot since I arrived at Inter and I continue to do so match by match. I hope it continues like this because it's a good thing. I have to improve in everything and I like it because that means I have a lot ahead of me," said the Frenchman at Tuesday's pre-match press conference ahead of Tuesday's clash at the Giuseppe Meazza.
"Lautaro is one of the best, if not the best, striker in the world. We know each other well and we work together to make the team better." He also remembered Alexis Sanchez: "Having Alexis is an honour, playing with him is good for learning".
On Atletico Madrid, Thuram said: "They defend very well, but they play and combine with players like Memphis Depay and Griezmann.
He also spoke about his coach Simone Inzaghi: "He's a very frank person, he doesn't wait three days to tell you something and that's a good thing to learn from".
