Kvaratskhelia ruled out of cup at last minute

Gerogian striker and one of Napoli's star players Kvicha Kvaratskhelia will not play in this Tuesday's last-16 Coppa Italia game against Cremonese because he has flu, forcing him out of the squad-list.

"The player didn't train due to flu-like symptoms, and won't play a part in this Tuesday's game", the Napoli side said in a statement.

The Serie A star being ruled out opens the door for Mexican Hirving Lozano to start, who has been his second-in-command in their last two Serie A games.

What is more, German Diego Demme was left out of the squad list too after his partner had a daughter. The rest of the squad are available for manager Luciano Spalletti.

The winner of the tie will go up against Jode Mourinho's Roma in the quarter-finals of the cup competition. Napoli are current Serie A leaders, nine points clear of reigning champions Milan.
