Juventus have been working on signing Nicolo Zaniolo for a while. Now, there is more news regarding this certain transfer story. According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', the 'Bianconero' have met with the player's agent, Claudio Vigorelli. The point of the meeting was for Juve to work out a way of signing the player for less than the 50 million euros the 'Giallorossi' are asking for.
Zaniolo's representative knows full well that the Roma board do not want to see their player leave the club for a price any lower than 50 million, due to him being such a key member of the squad. They highly value how well the player has developed under Jose Mourinho's direction. BeSoccer Pro analysis clearly reveals how and why Zaniolo has improved so much with the Portuguese manager.
His high performance level is the reason why he finds himself on Juventus' agenda. However, they will have to make a serious effort for him if they are to see him move to the club. This is beacuse he is still contracted with Roma until summer 2024. Added to this, his market value of 32.3 million euros makes the operation difficult further still. But, it is not impossible as the club from Turin have a healthy enough bank account to make a push for him.
One of the alternatives that Juve are considering, is to bring Zaniolo in on loan with an original ten million euro fee and an option to buy clause written into the agreement set at 30 million. In this way, they will be able to split the cost and pay ten million less than what Roma have asked for in their initial conversations.
