After enduring a difficult period at Manchester United, Jadon Sancho seems to have revitalised his career at Chelsea. Injury setbacks aside, the English forward has been shining for the Blues, providing 4 assists in 9 matches this season.
However, the former Borussia Dortmund gem has now also managed to get off the mark on the score sheet by netting his first Chelsea goal on Wednesday night when they beat Southampton 1-5 at St. Mary's.
"It’s unforgettable, fantastic to score my first goal for Chelsea. I’m so happy with that," Sancho said post-match. He also showed his delight via his socials, emphasising the "unforgettable feeling" of bagging his first goal for the club.
Sancho came off the bench after 72 minutes of play to replace Noni Madueke and round off the scoring against the Saints at 87 minutes, putting his side in second in the Premier League standings - ahead of Arsenal on goal difference.
