Benfica manager Roger Schmidt spoke about Enzo Fernandez, who is on the radar of many European clubs, at a press conference after the 3-0 defeat against Sporting Braga.
"I don't know if it was Enzo's last match here. We will see what happens in the next few weeks. For now I can only say that he is a great player," the coach said.
"I hope he stays with us, but sometimes footballers have to make decisions. Enzo and Nicolas (Otamendi) played well. They were at their usual level. They came in good form because they were competing in the World Cup."
In addition, the German coach talked about Benfica's defeat: "Braga played a very good game and we were not in good form. We weren't in the same wavelength and we didn't have the energy we usually have," he concluded.
