"He's losing weight" - Amorim praises 'top' Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw seems to have an injury curse he can't seem to shake off. The Manchester United full-back has started just one game in the last nine months, during which time he has suffered three muscle injuries that have kept him off the pitch.
The England defender had come off the bench in three consecutive games for the Red Devils and just when it looked like he was finally going to put the injuries behind him, he suffered another injury setback on the eve of United's defeat to Arsenal.
Ruben Amorim was keen to send a message of support to the 29-year-old full-back after the defeat to the Gunners, stressing that "he has done everything right" and that he is "counting on him" as he is a "top" player.
"Since I arrive I see Luke Shaw working a lot in the gym and working a lot on the pitch. If he continues that behaviour, he is a top player and we need him," he told reporters. "We control the load during the games and trainings, he was losing weight, doing everything right," he concluded.
