At just 20 years old, Maximo Perrone is collecting himself a fair amount of hopefuls. One of them is Manchester City, who are doing everything possible to get one of Velez Sarsfield's stars.
In fact, club President Sergio Raspiarda spoke to 'Velez 670 Radio' and openly claimed that Pep even contacted the young Argentinian midfielder.
"He should present a note to AFA's Agremiados and to the club to say he's going to put the clause into action. They made us an offer, which wasn't enough. He's a high calibre player. Guardiola called three times", he claimed.
In addition, he continued along the same tone: "Mascherano also persuaded him, which was something I didn't like. The boy loves the City boss and he wants to go there. We're going to run the risk, we're trying to make the numbers work in Velez' favour".
Therefore, the Cityzens should go back to the drawing board with regards to their offer. Perrone's release clause is €7.5 million, but they do not want to give him away and are hoping to get more money from a possible sale.
