London is smiling as fans are at stadiums. West Ham got their season with fans underway and did so in the usual way, with the pitch full of bubbles.
The Hammers have a particularity around a song. The thousands of fans that populate the stands, much less now, belt out 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles', their anthem since the 1920s.
The song, composed by Jhon Kellete and James Kendis, and lyrics by James Brockman and Nat Vincent, was first seen in 1918 in a Broadway musical and from there it became unstoppable to stardom.
The tradition of the West Ham fans is to belt out the song at the same time bubbles are blown on the pitch, on this occasion the London Stadium, to thus honour the history of the club.
