Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is suffering from facial trauma with multiple injuries, according to the first diagnosis from the club's medical services, after being hit in the face by Wilfried Singo in Wednesday's match against Monaco.
The Italian international goalkeeper, who had to be substituted for that reason in the 20th minute of the match at Monaco's Louis II stadium, returned to Paris with the full squad in the evening, PSG added in a medical statement on their official website.
Donnarumma, who left the pitch on his own, is scheduled to undergo medical tests on Thursday to assess the extent of the knock and visible facial injuries.
"He will have to remain inactive for several days," Paris Saint-Germain added in their statement.
