Courtois, almost discarded for Granada

Real Madrid stumbled again in the Champions League and has only one point out of a possible six. Zidane's team managed to match the two goals in extremis, but Brugge's men, particularly goalscorer Dennis, left Courtois looking very weak. 

The Belgian goalkeeper had to leave the field because of stomach problems and was replaced by Areola, who is accustomed to big events and is making sure to take full advantage of his opportunities. The Frenchman made a great stop that gained him some applause from the Santiago Bernabeu crowd, but that can only mean even worse news for Courtois, who is clearly going through a rough patch in his career. 

Now, Courtois has did not take part in training this Thursday and instead trained by himself inside the Real Madrid facilities. Meanwhile, Zidane has called Altube, the reserve goalkeeper.

Therefore, the goalkeeper is a serious doubt for the match against Grenada this weekend and everything indicates that Areola will be starting in a goal in which there is much open debate. In fact, the newspaper 'Marca' indicated that Courtois has already been discarded from the call up for the game. 

"We can blame Courtois, but I'm responsible," said the French coach, who has a complicated role to play in the choosing of his team's goalkeeper and is watching the Belgian's evolution.
