Chelsea to offer 120 million for Enzo Fernandez

Chelsea have become an expert in breaking the banks in recent transfer windows and their next deal could be the signing of Enzo Fernandez for 120 million euros. The Benfica midfielder showed off his talent at the World Cup in Qatar, where he won the World Cup with Argentina. Now, Chelsea want to finally get the player after several failed attempts. 

'Marca' published the latest offer from the Blues who, according to 'Varsky Sports', would pay for it in several instalments. That means the English side would not have to pay all at once. They would not have to negotiate the fee with the Portuguese side as the amount is precisely his buyout clause. The player is waiting for developments to unfold: he knows that the board does not want him to leave, but they are hopeful that they will let him leave. 

The Londoners have completed a personal agreement with the footballer so everything will depend on how talks go with the Portuguese club. The most likely outcome is for there to be a response soon. Although Benfica would not like to get rid of the biggest players in their squad, they are aware that the price offered is the most they could get for the Argentine. His contract expires in 2027. 

If the move is completed, River Plate, the club Enzo Fernandez came through, would get about 30 million euros. The most recent signing they made was that of Salomon Rondon as a free agent until December 2025. Even if they do not have to pay anything to sign him, he will have to get a salary which is in keeping with a striker of his experience and quality.
