Malo Gusto should have joined the France U21 team for the U21 Euro qualifiers against Slovenia and Bosnia Herzegovina, but as communicated by the French Football Federation he suffered an injury that has prevented him from joining the team.
Chelsea through its official media has confirmed the injury. "Malo Gusto has withdrawn from the France Under-21 squad because of a thigh injury, the French Football Federation has confirmed."
The French defender suffered an injury in the second half of the last Premier League matchday against Crystal Palace that ended with a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old will start with his recovery in Cobham, where he will undergo scans to find out the estimated time he will be out of the field, taking advantage of the fact that there is no Premier League due to the Nations League international break.
