Karim Benzema has been quick to make an impact at his new club Al-Ittihad. The striker scored his first goal for a club other than Real Madrid in 13 years to give the Saudi side a 2-1 win over ES Tunis.
Nuno Espirito Santo started the No.9 and it paid off. In the 26th minute Bouguerra put ES Tunis ahead but the lead was short-lived as the current Ballon d'Or winner set up Hamdallah after a fake shot inside the box and an pinpoint cross for the Moroccan striker to score the equaliser.
However, the former Real Madrid man did not find it enough to provide an assist on his debut and scored the winning goal for Al-Ittihad. Just 10 minutes into the second half, the French superstar received the ball on the edge of the box and beat Amanallah Memmiche with an incredible long-range effort into the top left corner.
In addition, former Chelsea player N'Golo Kante made his debut for the Saudi side after coming off the bench to replace Jota in the 46th minute, another big name signing by Nuno Espiriro Santo's side this summer transfer window.
