Benfica want Atletico fullback

Santiago Arias, the Atletico Madrid right back, is reportedly on Benfica's agenda. 'Marca' says that Benfica are interested in counting on the Colombian and they will try and get this signing this summer.

The summer is now here and the clubs are building their squads for next season. Benfica, for example, are looking for defenders.

One of the posts they are looking to cover is that of right back. And the Portuguese side have apparently got their eyes on Atletico Madrid's Santiago Arias.

At the back end of the season, Santiago Arias has more than done his job. His performances have led to him being on Marseille and Everton's radars.

Now there is a third club interested in him. 'Marca' reports that Benfica have not ruled out putting in a bid for Arias.

The full back's Atletico contract runs until 2023 and Simeone is satisfied with him. It does not like they will let him go, but we will see.
