Bayer Leverkusen have agreed to extend the current contract with Czech Republic international Patrik Schick until the summer of 2025. The new contract will run until 30 June 2027.
Patrik Schick scored 24 goals in 27 Bundesliga games this season, making him the most successful foreign goalscorer in the German club's Bundesliga history.
The Prague-born striker, who has scored 17 goals for the Czech Republic in 33 international appearances, has settled in Leverkusen over the past two years. "I feel very good here," said the 26-year-old.
"Our team is a promise for the future above all. It's great fun to be with these guys and we are really determined to achieve something. Champions League qualification is a good next step. There are a lot of possibilities here, that's why I've extended my contract at Bayer," he added.
"Patrik Schick has had a fantastic season and has demonstrated his world-class ability in his position. There are few centre-forwards of his calibre on the European stage," Bayer sporting director Simon Rolfes said of the Czech's long-term contract extension.
