It's thought that FC Barcelona have their first player confirmed to go ahead of the 2023-24 season. After the Juvenil A got knocked out of the Champions Cup, Ilias Akhomach has put an end to his stint at the Spanish side.
According to 'Sport', the 19 year old Spanish-Moroccan forward decided not to renew his contract due to the lack of game time he got in the Barca Atletic and first teams this season.
His last call-up with the B team was on 29th April, when he remained on the bench against Osasuna Promesas, while the last time he got on the pitch was on the 22nd April, playing just 6 minutes against Castellon.
Therefore, Ilias will put an end to his spell at Barca and, for the short term at least, will have his sights set on preparing for the U19 Euros which is to take place from the 3rd July in Malta, where Spain are in a group with Iceland, Greece and Norway.
The striker's professional career could continue in the Premier League, the Serie A or in La Liga. 'Sport' reported that the clubs who are interested in getting him on board are Leeds United, Arsenal, Milan, Atalanta and Sevilla.
