Bale has a problem

After winning the Spanish Super Cup, Real Madrid are back in La Liga action against Sevilla. Real want there to be a paty atmosphere to celebrate the title they won in Saudi Arabia. 

However, Sevilla, who will give Real a guard of honour. will not make it easy for them at all. Lopetegui knows he has a golden opportunity to show that Real Madrid made a mistake sacking him.

But one player in particular will be desperate to perform against the Andalusian outfit and that is Gareth Bale. The '11' has a lot to prove since he is ready to return after missing the Spanish Super Cup because of an infection in the respiratory tract. 

This week, he trained just like his teammates and Zidane has got him in mind for the Sevilla encounter. The French coach hopes Bale is at his best so that he can finally put his goal drought behind him. 

The 'Cardiff Express' has scored just twice this season for Real Madrid. They both came in the same match which was at Villarreal on 1st September 2019. He has not scored since then. 

It has been more than four months since then and the player knows he must put that bad run to an end. Since then, he has played eleven matches in all competitions and just got a solitary assist. 

He thought he had got on the scoresheet at the Camp Nou, but the assistant referee disallowed it as Mendy was offside, a decision which the VAR confirmed. 

Last term, the Wales international had scored 10 goals and given five assists at this stage last season. Bale has a problem.
