Portuguese defender Cedric Soares is not getting the playing time expected at Arsenal since his arrival from Southampton in the 2019/20 season.
The 32-year-old started to play less and less after last campaign, where he made just four competitive appearances. He has played two games this term - in the Carabao Cup and Champions League - but his days at Arsenal are numbered.
According to 'The Sun', two European clubs are keeping an eye on his situation as Soares could be looking for a new destination in the next transfer window. His current contract expires at the end of the season but he is likely to leave the Emirates Stadium a few months earlier.
La Liga side Villarreal are interested in securing his services from January and the right-back would not be a bad idea to try his luck in the Spanish top-flight. The other suitor is a Turkish club, whose name is unknown,
