Neymar, the scorer of Brazil's only goal in 120 minutes, started crying after Brazil were beaten by Croatia in a penalty shootout. Another opportunity missed for the number 10.

Serious setback for Brazil at this World Cup. Tite's men, the big favourites to win the title, were beaten in a penalty shootout against a Croatia side who managed to cancel out a Neymar goal which came at the end of the first period of extra-time.

Petkovic, in the 116th minute levelled the scores and took the game to penalties. Croatia scored all four of their spot kicks while Brazil just scored two from four.

Once Brazil's elimination was confirmed, Neymar ended up on the floor. He could not believe what was happened and started crying.

He felt the same in the 2018 World Cup in Russia when Belgium eliminated Brazil and Neymar reacted in the same way this time. The striker now must look to the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
