Las Palmas already have their new keeper: Jasper Cillessen. An old La Liga player known for his past with Barcelona and Valencia leaves the Eredivisie to return to Spanish soil. This time, to the Gran Canaria Stadium.
The Dutch goalkeeper has signed with the Spanish side until 30th June 2026. With two seasons at the island club, the Dutchman is guaranteed a solid figure in goal with the future of Alvaro Valles in the air and Real Betis on the lookout for him.
Jasper Cillessen returns to Spain after his spell at NEC Nijmegen. Although he was in the shadow of Marc-Andre ter Stegen in Barcelona, he found his place at Mestalla until he returned to his homeland.
He was also capped 65 times for the Netherlands. A guaranteed addition to the new Las Palmas project, which did not finish the 2023-24 La Liga season as expected.
