'Caslciomercato' inform that Chelsea are thinking about making Juventus a 120 million euro offer for Cristiano Ronaldo. The key would lie in the intervention of the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, who would look favourably on the deal.

Cristiano Ronaldo could return to the Premier League 11 years later as a world star. 'Calciomercato' assure that Chelsea are considering making a 120 million euro offer for the Juventus star. The key mediator would be his agent, Jorge Mendes.

The aforementioned source assures that it is the agent who has convinced the Blues to put on the table such a price to try and sign him. The figure is a tad higher than what Juve paid to get him from Real Madrid.

And it is much higher than his current market value. Even though he continues to be one of the most lethal attackers in the world- and ever-, his market value is just over 40 million euros, as he is 35 and is well established in Serie A. The Juve board don't have any intention to let him leave.

Under contract until 2022, this will be the main stumbling obstacle for Chelsea if they want to move ahead. In their favour, there is the downward fluctuation that the market will suffer this summer due to the coronavirus crisis. 120 million euros may be worth considerably more than it seems in a matter of weeks.

If the deal were to happen, it would be most painful for Manchester United fans. Their favourite star and the only team he was at would have to see him in the shirt of a direct rival. The Red Devils fans could be terrible.

But what is Cristiano Ronaldo's position with regards to this interest? It's a mystery, but taking into account that the Portguese's desire is to continue to be amongst the best in the planet, he may not frown upon the move. At the end of the day, Chelsea are near the top of the Premier League.
