The Argentinian's pre-agreement with the Catalan giants expires on Friday and the Real Betis player is still unclear about his future.

Barcelona and Guido Rodriguez have a pre-agreement for the midfielder, who is under contract with Real Betis until the end of June, to join the Catalan club as a free agent from July. However, the pre-agreement, which runs until Friday 31 May, may break down because Barcelona cannot guarantee the Argentine midfielder's registration.

Barcelona are awaiting a series of economic operations to be able to sign him in compliance with Financial Fair Play rules but at the moment it is unclear when they will be able to do so this summer.

Guido Rodriguez will be released from his commitment to Barcelona on Friday and can accept other offers, as the one Real Betis made him to renew his contract has already expired, as president Angel Haro recalled weeks ago.

Guido has not said goodbye to the Betis fans, although yesterday he spoke of his time at the Spanish club in the past. And his future, as he himself said when asked about his move to Barcelona, is far from clear: "There was a lot of talk, but out of respect for Betis, where I was very happy, I didn't want to talk about more."
