Ajax sign Antony's replacement

Francisco Conçeicao, former Porto player, became this Monday the new Ajax player for the next five seasons. That is to say, he signs until 2027 as an Ajax player.

The 19-year-old Portuguese trained with his new team-mates on the same day he was officially announced. "Conceicao has already made 50 official appearances for the Portuguese champions. At Ajax, the striker will wear the number '35' on his back," the Amsterdam club said in a statement.

The Portuguese attacker arrives at the Johan Cruijff Arena to try to make people forget Antony, who is close to becoming a new Manchester United player.

Conçeicao arrives in the Netherlands after playing a leading role in Portugal, having made 33 official appearances for the first team in which he scored three goals and provided two assists.
